APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 egg, beaten
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
4 to 5 apples, thinly sliced, peeled (Granny Smith)
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter

FOR DOUGH: In a bowl mix egg and sour cream. In a small bowl stir together the flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to the sour cream mixture. Mix well.

On a lightly floured surface roll dough to a 12 inch square. Spread the apples on top. In a bowl combine 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle on top of the apples. Carefully roll up dough. Cut into 1 inch thick slices.
