APPLE AND CHEDDAR QUICHE 
1 lg. cooking apple, pared and shredded
1/2 c. dry white wine
1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (10 inch) pie shell
1 1/2 c. light cream
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Marinate apple in wine; drain. Sprinkle cheese over bottom of pie shell. Cover with apple. Beat together cream, nutmeg and eggs; pour over ingredients in shell. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. (Knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.) Let stand 15 minutes.
