FISH BOIL | |
8 qt. boiling water 16 (3") potatoes, washed, NOT peeled 1 c. salt 16 (1"-2") onions Fish chunks, use fish such as salmon Melted butter Use very large pot, such as a canner. Bring water to rolling boil, add 1/2 cup salt and potatoes slowly so water continues to boil. Boil 12 minutes. Add onions slowly so water continues to boil. Boil 6 minutes. Place fish in wire basket. Run hot water on fish to warm it up so when added to boiling water the water continues to boil. Add the rest of the salt (1/2 cup). Add fish. Make sure water continues to boil. Boil for 12 minutes. Remove everything from the pot. Serve with melted butter. NOTE: Everything has its own taste, is not salty. |
