PUMPKIN PIE DESSERT SQUARES 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
3 c. (1#14oz.-30 oz.) can pumpkin pie mix
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk

TOPPING:

1 c. reserved cake mix
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter

Grease bottom only of 9 by 13 pan. Reserve 1 cup of cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and eggs. Press in bottom of pan. Prepare filling by combine all ingredients (pumpkin pie mix, 2 eggs, 2/3 c. milk) until smooth. Pour over crust. Combine 1 cup reserved cake mix, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 cup butter. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. To use with 1# can solid pumpkin add 2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar. Prepare as directed above.
