HOT BUTTERED CRANBERRY CIDER 
4 c. cranberry juice cocktail
4 c. apple cider
3" cinnamon stick
1 c. dark rum
2 tbsp. honey or to taste
3/4 stick (6 tbsp.) unsalted butter, cut into bits

In a stainless steel or enameled saucepan combine the cranberry juice, cider, and cinnamon stick, bring the liquid to a boil and simmer the mixture for 10 minutes. Remove the pan form the heat, stir in the rum, the honey and the butter and stir the mixture until the butter is melted. Ladle the cider into heated mugs. Serves 8 to 10.
