STRAWBERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1/3 c. butter
6 tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
2 c. strawberries, washed & hulled
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter

Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Mix in the beaten egg.

In a second bowl, sift dry ingredients. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed butter and sugar mixture.

Spread batter in a greased baking pan 8" diameter and about 4" deep. Top with strawberries.

Blend remaining flour, sugar and butter in a bowl. Sprinkle over the berries.

Bake at 400 degrees until cake is firm in the center and the topping is brown, about 35 minutes.
