GARBANZO BEAN SOUP 
2 cans garbanzo beans
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
6-8 potatoes (bite size pieces)
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked, well drained & cut into bite size pieces
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. sweet basil
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. chili powder or red pepper, crushed
1-2 bay leaves

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer 4 to 5 hours. I used a crock pot on low all day. Add water if needed. The longer you simmer the better it gets. Serve with garlic bread or bread sticks.

YUM! I used 2 cans diced tomatoes, omitted chili-red pepper flakes, added dash salt, pepper, & garlic powder. Tasted during crockpot cooking & very good - added 3/4 cup 4 cheese blend & turned out even better - AWESOME!
