JEANNE'S CHICKEN IN WINE 
1 c. red wine Gallo hearty burgundy or any dry red
1/4 c. soy sauce, low sodium can be used
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3 -4 chicken breasts, skinned, fat removed
1/4 tsp. brown sugar
1 clove fresh garlic or 3/4 tsp. powdered garlic
1 tsp. ginger
4 portions cooked rice

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients (except rice and chicken breasts) in a jar with a top. Mix or shake ingredients. Place chicken in a casserole, pour mixture over chicken breasts. Cover dish, bake 1 1/2 hours uncovered the last 15 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.

Very delicious dish. I did everything it said except I added 1/2 cup liquid beef broth (the wine alone seemed bland), I used 1/8 cup oil instead of 1/4, I added about 1/2 cup sweet onions. At the end I separated the chicken from the broth, put the broth in a sauce pan and I mixed up 1 tbsp. of flour with 1 tbsp. cold water and added that slowly to the sauce on high fire, then simmered a few minutes until thickened. The dish was excellent.
