MAPLE SHORTBREAD BARS 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
2/3 c. maple blended syrup
1/4 tsp. salt

In bowl, stir flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into 8x8x2 inch pan. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.

Combine coconut, syrup and salt in small saucepan. Cook, stirring often, until coconut absorbs most of syrup (8-10 minutes). Spread over warm crumb mixture and return to oven, 375 degrees, for 10 minutes. Cut into bars while warm.
