1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift in dry ingredients. Roll in small balls. Chill and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
