SWEDISH CABBAGE SOUP 
5 tbsp. butter
2 c. chopped onions
2 tsp. whole or ground caraway seeds
2 tsp. salt
8 packed c. shredded cabbage
6 c. stock, potato water or water
Fresh ground pepper
4 med. potatoes, cut in cubes

Slowly cook onions in butter over low heat. Add caraway and salt. Cover and cook over medium low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 30 to 40 minutes more. Serves 6.
