2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar (white)
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla extract (chocolate)
1 pkg. instant pudding

Mix everything together except pudding. Then after everything is mixed add pudding. If you want white cake add vanilla pudding. If you want chocolate cake add chocolate pudding. Then bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
