LIZ'S EASY GUACAMOLE | |
This is how our family makes guacamole. 2 very ripe avocados 1 jalapeno, finely chopped (seed it first for less heat) 1/2 white onion, finely chopped or grated 1 tomato, chopped 1 tbsp lemon juice, more or less to taste kosher salt, to taste Mash avocados, fork or spoon turned sideways works well. Add jalapeno, onion and tomato and mix well. Add lemon juice and salt, mix and taste. Add more salt if needed. Tip: Be careful not to add too much salt! Variations: You can also use seasoned salt instead, or regular salt instead of kosher. You can add some cilantro. You can use lime juice instead of lemon juice. Note: Don't worry about exact amounts, you can pretty much add more of less of each ingredient and it usually will come out good. Submitted by: Elizabeth |
