CARAMEL PECAN ROLLS | |
1 loaf frozen sweet dough Egg wash 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. butter, softened 2 tbsp. water 1/2 c. chopped pecans Let dough thaw and rise until doubled in size. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle about 1/2" thick. Brush with egg wash; sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up, jelly roll fashion, starting with a long side. Use a sharp knife to slice into 15 to 16 pieces. Stir brown sugar and butter together until crumbly; add water until creamy. Spread in a 9"x9" or 8"x10" baking pan. Sprinkle with pecans. Place dough pieces, cut side down, atop brown sugar mixture. Cover and let rise until doubled in size. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool 1 minute and invert onto plate or cooling rack. Makes 15 to 16 rolls. You maybe will use this one because you use frozen dough. |
