ANTONIO'S RED DEVILS FOOD CAKE 
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
1/2 c. boiling water
2 sq. bitter chocolate
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk

Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs. Melt chocolate in boiling water and add to sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk; add vanilla. Bake in 2 greased and floured pans at 375 degrees until cake shrinks from side of pan.
