MOM'S ICEBOX COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. melted shortening (part butter)
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix together the sugars, shortening and eggs. Add dry ingredients and nuts and mix well. Shape into rolls and wrap in waxed paper. Chill overnight. Slice in 1/4 inch slices and bake on greased baking sheet for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
