SPOON BREAD 
3 c. milk
3 eggs
1 c. corn meal
1 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder

In saucepan, stir together meal and 2 cups milk. Cook over low heat until mush. Remove from heat and add shortening, salt, and sugar. Beat eggs and add baking powder. Add this to other cup of milk and mush. Bake in skillet at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
