SCOTCH LACE COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 box butterscotch pudding mix
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar, add pudding mix and vanilla, blend well. Mix in oats and nuts by hand. Batter will be firm. Roll into balls using a rounded measuring tsp. of dough. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Watch after 10 minutes of baking. Cool slightly, then remove with wide spatula to cool, makes approximately 4 1/2 dozen.
