CABBAGE SOUP 
1 head cabbage, coarsely chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
2 lg. onions, thinly sliced
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 med. jar med. hot picante sauce
Beef bouillon cubes (4 tbsp mixed with 1 qt. hot water)
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
Salt and pepper, to taste

Cook ground meat until done. Add onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper, 1 can of tomatoes and picante sauce. Cook slowly about 30 minutes. Add cabbage, and bouillon dissolved in hot water. Add the remaining can of tomatoes and cook slowly for about 20 minutes or more. Good served with cornbread!
