BUTTER RUM CAKE 
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. plain yellow cake mix

GLAZE:

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
3 tbsp. water
1/3 c. dark rum

For cake, grease 10 to 12 cup fluted tube pan with shortening; coat bottom and sides with nuts. Prepare cake mix according to package mixing directions. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 25 minutes in pan; invert onto wire rack to remove from pan.
