ELEPHANT STEW 
1 med. elephant
1 ton salt
1 ton pepper
500 bushels potatoes
200 bushels carrots
4000 sprigs parsley
2 rabbits (optional)
1000 gallons gravy

Cut elephant meat into bite-size pieces. This will take 2 months. Cut vegetables into cubes, another 2 months. Place meat in pan and cover with 1000 gallons of gravy and simmer 4 weeks. When meat is tender, add vegetables. Shovel in salt and pepper, using a steam shovel. Add parsley, simmer 4 weeks. Will serve 3500 people. If more are expected, add the 2 rabbits. This is not recommended as very few people like "hare in their stew."
