2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. applesauce
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients. Add shortening and eggs, applesauce and raisins. Beat slightly (with spoon), add pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Ice before baking.

ICING:

1/2 c. nuts
2 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Sprinkle on top.
