1 slice bread
1 tsp. butter

Butter bread on both sides. Make a hole in center of bread, about the size of an egg. Place bread in heated skillet for a minute, then turn over. Crack egg into center of bread. Cook another minute or until almost done, then turn over and finish cooking. Do the same for as many bird nests as you need.
