CHOCOLATE PAN COOKIE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/8 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy in large bowl. Add egg; beat well. Combine flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat well, then add chips and nuts. Spread batter in a greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool, then cut.
