CORA'S FAVORITE YAM PIE 
4 pounds uncooked jams; cook yams. Mash with 1 1/2 sticks butter. Add 4-6 egg yolks (depends on size of eggs). Add about 2 cups sugar and flavorings (2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1 teaspoon ginger). Mix in 1/2 cup heavy cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into pie shell, 9 or 10 inch. Bake at 400 degrees until done, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
