CHEESE TOPPED PORK CUTLETS 
1 1/2 lbs. pork cutlets
1 egg, beaten
1/2 - 1 c. bread crumbs
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. shortening
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder

Season cutlets with salt, pepper and garlic. Dip into egg and then bread crumbs. In large skillet, melt shortening. Brown cutlets on both sides. After browning, pour in 1/4 cup water. Cover tightly and simmer on low 30 minutes. Arrange cutlets in lightly greased dish. Sprinkle on cheese. Broil 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
