SECOND AVENUE POTATO SALAD | |
5 lbs. sm. potatoes (not baking kind) SAUCE: 2 1/2 c. mayonnaise (Hellmann's) 1 c. sugar 4 tbsp. white vinegar 1 c cold water 1 tbsp. black pepper 4 tbsp. salt 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 6 oz. chopped onion (baseball size) Boil unpeeled potatoes in lightly salted water until just done. Do not over cook. Peel and slice hot potatoes. Add soupy sauce over hot potatoes. Mix gently. Refrigerate overnight. Mix occasionally. Serves a whole party. If you don't like pepper, use parsley. |
