"ROLL WITH IT" DINNER ROLLS 
1/2 c lukewarm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. scalded milk
1 egg
3 c. sifted flour
Melted butter

Put yeast in water and set aside for 10 minutes.

Into a mixing bowl put sugar, salt, shortening and milk. Cool to lukewarm; then pour into the yeast mixture. Stir in one egg; mix and add sifted flour. Put into a greased bowl. Rub melted butter over top of batter, cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
