BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. 100% Bran
2 c. boiling water
4 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco (Canola oil) or Puritan oil
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. white flour
5 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. All Bran
(2 c. raisins)

Pour 2 cups boiling water over 2 cups bran. Beat until creamy 4 cups sugar, 1 cup Crisco (Canola oil or Puritan), 4 eggs. Add 1 quart buttermilk and scalded bran to sugar mixture. Sift together and add to above flour, soda and salt. Last fold in 4 cups All Bran. Keep batter tightly covered in refrigerator. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. May add raisins when mixing.
