APRICOT BARS 
APRICOT MIXTURE:

1 (11-12 oz.) box dried apricots
1 c. water
1 c. granulated sugar

Cook over low heat until soft. Cool.

CRUMB MIXTURE:

2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. shortening, melted

Mix. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for the top. Pack remaining crumbs in greased 9x13 inch pan. Spread apricot mixture over top. Top with crumbs. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool before cutting.
