MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
16 c. popped popcorn

COATING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Place popped corn in a large brown grocery bag. Combine in an 8 cup microwave bowl, the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Microwave on full power 1 to 2 minutes, or until mixture bubbles. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Add soda and vanilla, stir well as this will foam up. Pour over popcorn in paper bag. Shake very well. Fold bag down and microwave for 1 minute. Shake well, repeat. Microwave for 30 seconds. Shake well. Pour onto two cookie sheets. Let cool. Store in an airtight container.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
