MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN | |
16 c. popped popcorn COATING: 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla Place popped corn in a large brown grocery bag. Combine in an 8 cup microwave bowl, the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Microwave on full power 1 to 2 minutes, or until mixture bubbles. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Add soda and vanilla, stir well as this will foam up. Pour over popcorn in paper bag. Shake very well. Fold bag down and microwave for 1 minute. Shake well, repeat. Microwave for 30 seconds. Shake well. Pour onto two cookie sheets. Let cool. Store in an airtight container. |
