DATE NUT ROLL 
1 1/2 lbs. graham crackers
1 lb. lg. marshmallows
1 lb. can evaporated milk
1 lb. dates
1 c. nutmeats

Crush crackers. Reserving 1 cup cracker crumbs. Put remainder of crumbs in large bowls. Cut dates into crumbs, mix. Cut marshmallows into 4 or 6 pieces. Let them drop in the crumbs a few at a time and mix before adding more. Chop nutmeats and add to crumb mixture. Add milk in small amounts. Using your hands form into balls about the size of indoor ball. Then shape into log and roll in reserved crumbs. Roll each log in Saran Wrap and store in refrigerator. This should be done at least a week before using. To serve, slice logs crosswise top with whipped topping and marchino Cherries.
