CARAMEL SAUCE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 c. milk, half and half or cream

Cook sauce ingredients over medium heat, stirring until thickened about 15 minutes. It will thicken some when cool. Pour sauce over ice cream. Can be made a day ahead. Cut into squares or pie shape. Top with whipped cream and toasted pecans if desired. Very rich dessert. Serves 12.
