PURPLE PLUM CRUNCH 
24 Italian plums, pitted and quartered
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten well
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour, sifted
1/2 c. butter, melted

In bottom of shallow 2 quart ungreased baking dish, place plums. Mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons flour and sprinkle on plums. Mix thoroughly using fork.

Prepare topping by mixing salt, sugar, baking powder, egg, and 1 cup flour. Sprinkle evenly over plums. Over this pour butter.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until browned. Serve with softly whipped cream or ice cream.
