MARILYN'S BEEF SUMMER SAUSAGE 
2 lbs. hamburger
1 c. water
2 tbsp. Tender Quick (Morton's Curing Salt)
1/2 tbsp. liquid smoke
Pinch of salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder

Mix all ingredients together, gently with hands (as with a meat loaf). Shape in rolls 3x6 inches long. Wrap in saran wrap; refrigerate for 24 hours. Unwrap, place on broiler pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour, turning occasionally. Refrigerate, or freeze for later use.

You may need to shop for the Tender Quick at a meat processing plant if not available from your grocer.
