SYLVIA'S POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter (1 c.)
1 lb. box 10X sugar (3 c.)
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 scant tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
Dash of nutmeg

Soften butter and slowly add 10X sugar. Blend in 4 eggs. Add flour mixed with baking powder gradually. Mix milk, vanilla and nutmeg together and then add to the above mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Note: To make a Black Walnut Cake, substitute 1 teaspoon black walnut extract for the almond extract and add 1 cup black walnuts, finely chopped.
