HAZEL NUT COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 egg
1 grated lemon rind
1/2 lb. hazel nuts, finely ground

ICING:

Powdered sugar
Lemon juice

Mix all ingredients adding flour gradually. Dough should be stiff. Roll dough to 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350.

Icing: Mix sugar and lemon to make a thin icing. Spread on cookies and let dry.
