HOT APPLE PUNCH 
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 3" stick cinnamon
5 whole cloves
1 tsp. ground allspice
2 c. orange juice
1 c. lemon juice
1 qt. apple juice or cider

Combine water and sugar and boil 5 minutes over moderate high heat (375 degrees). Remove from heat and add cinnamon, cloves and allspice. Let syrup stand covered for 1 hour. Strain into a bowl. Add juices and simmer about 1 hour.
