MIXED SQUASH - VIRGINIA STYLE 
1-2 lb. squash
1 med. onion
1 med. green pepper
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. stick butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Wash and slice squash, onions, green peppers, place in skillet. Place 1/2 cup water in skillet, cover with lid and steam until tender, about 15 minutes. Add butter and sugar. Stir and toss to glaze vegetables; serve. Great to use yellow zucchini or patty pan squash, combined or separate.
