CHOCOLATE FILLED SNOWBALLS 
1 c. softened butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. finely chopped nuts
1 pkg. (5 3/4 oz.) chocolate kisses
Confectioners' sugar

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts; blend well. Chill dough. Remove foil from kisses. Shape dough around kisses, using about 1 tablespoon dough for each; roll to make a ball. Be sure to cover kiss completely. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until set but not brown. Cool slightly remove to wire rack. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Store in tightly covered container.
