3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. lemon juice
15 cloves
2/3 c. water
2 tsp. red food coloring
apples

Cook sugar, cream of tartar, lemon juice, cloves and water to 300°F. Add food coloring. Dip apples.
