COOKED WHEAT AND LENTILS | |
1 c. lentils 5 c. water 2 c. cracked wheat germ 1 tbsp. salt 1 lg. onion, diced 3/4 c. oil Rinse lentils with cold water. Add lentils and salt to pan filled with 5 cups of water. Boil about 15 minutes or until lentils are a little soft. Add wheat and bring to a boil again. Reduce heat and cook until all liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Fry onion in oil, pour over cooked wheat and lentils and mix together. |
