BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
2 c. sliced cucumbers
1/2 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. sliced pepper, red
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/3 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. tumeric

Allow vegetables to soak in salt and water 3 hours. Drain. Combine with other ingredients and simmer until cucumbers are transparent. Ladle into sterilized jars and seal. Multiply above ingredients according to quantity of cucumbers.
