BUTTERSCOTCH NUT BARS | |
1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. flour 3/4 c. brown sugar 6 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips 1/2 c. corn syrup 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. water 12 oz. can mixed salted nuts (I use peanuts) Combine flour and brown sugar. Cut 1/2 cup butter into mixture with pastry blender. Blend until mixed. Press coarse meal mixture into greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Mix chips, corn syrup, butter and water in heavy pan; heat/stir over medium heat until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars. |
