BOURBON BROWNIES
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. walnuts, chopped

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. confectioner's sugar
7 tsp. creme de menthe
6 oz. chocolate chips
2 to 3 tbsp. shortening

Mix flour, salt and baking powder; set aside. In a small saucepan heat just to a boil the water, sugar and butter. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla; stir to melt. Then add eggs, flour mixture and walnuts; stir.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 pan and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes - no more. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle over the pan 3 to 4 tablespoons bourbon, brandy or whiskey. Cool.

Meanwhile make frosting of creme de menthe, butter and sugar. Spread over bars and chill.

Melt 6 ounces chocolate chips with 2 to 3 tablespoons shortening until smooth. Frost. Chill before cutting.
