SWEET AND SOUR BACON DRESSING 
6 slices lean bacon
2 tbsp. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 1/3 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. celery seed (or less)

Fry bacon, cool and crumble. Saute onion in bacon fat until tender; add sugar, vinegar and water. Bring to a boil. Cool and add mayonnaise. Fold in bacon and chill. This keeps well, has a unique flavor and adds great variety to salads. Makes 2 cups.
