CRANBERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (7 oz.) whole cranberries
1/2 c. nuts

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time and sour cream. Add dry ingredients. Add flavoring and nuts.

Grease and flour tube pan. Put layer of batter in bottom of pan. Add 1/2 of cranberry, spread around. Add remaining batter. Add remaining cranberry. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.

TOPPING FOR CRANBERRY CAKE:

3/4 c. XX sugar
2 tbsp. warm water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Pour over top and let run down.
