CAKE AND NUT BREAD 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. milk
4 tbsp. salad oil
1 lb. dates
1 c. walnuts

Sift dry ingredients together into small bowl, add eggs, milk and shortening. Beat well for 30 seconds. Fold in dates and nuts. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 55 or 60 minutes. When cold, wrap in Reynolds wrap to keep moist for a long time.
