POPPY SEED CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. honey 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. whole wheat flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 mashed banana 3/4 c. butter 4 eggs 1/3 c. poppy seeds 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. raisins Beat honey, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each. Stir dry ingredients together. Combine buttermilk and bananas. Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk. Stir in raisins. Grease and flour bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and invert on rack to cool completely. |
