TAMALE PIE 
FILLING:

1 lb. ground beef (lean)
1 lg. onion (minced)
2 tbsp. salad oil
2 tbsp. flour
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cumino seed
1 c. whole ripe olives
1 No. 303 whole kernel corn
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Salt, garlic salt and pepper to taste

1. Saute' beef and onion in oil until meat is no longer red, break in small bits. 2. Blend in flour, add tomato sauce. cook until mixture thickens, simmer for 5 minutes more, add olives, corn and seasonings. 3. Pour mixture into corn meal crust. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

CRUST:

1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. cold water

Mix. Cook in 2 cups boiling water for 20 minutes. Add salt and chili powder to taste.
